Interior designer turned UX Designer. I obsess over how the structure of a space

physical or digital shapes the way people interact with it

Quick Read

Interior design taught me craft, spatial thinking, and how to design structured environments. Digital design extended that into systems, research, and understanding how people navigate and make decisions across interfaces. The transition felt natural, same curiosity, different medium.

Across disciplines, I have learned that strong design thinking is transferable when grounded in context. I bring the ability to translate research insights into clear product decisions, mapping user flows, designing interfaces that communicate intent quickly, and rapid prototypes to pressure-test ideas, surface edge cases, and refine direction through iteration.

The work behind it

2026

Thorsen Consulting

UX Designer

A live admin portal managing 30,000 student applications annually had no shared component library, every screen differently styled and inconsistent language.

  • Delivered 15+ reusable components and redesigned 5 core screens, giving the admin team a consistent, faster way to process applications day to day.

2025-2026

Panorama Innovation

UX Designer

Building a SaaS platform for design teams covering both B2B agencies managing client work and B2C designers running solo practices that gives structure to the full project lifecycle from first call to final delivery.

  • Designing the product end-to-end: IA, AI-assisted workflows, and a 57-component design system, training the AI on design processes and thinking, and iterating through concept testing into A/B testing.

2024-2025

Illinois Institute of Technology

UX Researcher

A research role with institutional stakes helping an organization understand community relations and barriers well enough to justify investment.

  • Led 10+ stakeholder interviews, built a research framework adopted across 6 teams, and co-facilitated a workshop that secured $40,000 in funding, turning community insights into decisions, not just deliverables.

2024

United Airlines

UX Designer

A complex ecosystem problem, group boarding sounds simple until you're designing for gate agents, passengers, and airline operations all at once.

  • Conducted 15 contextual inquiries, ran 10 usability tests, and helped reduce boarding wait time by 46% by figuring out not just what to design, but where it would make the most impact.

2023

Aquamox

Product Designer

A product expansion opportunity, an existing water filter brand ready to grow, but needing clarity on new use cases, new users, and where the business could realistically go next.

  • Led end-to-end research and concept testing to identify new audiences and validate design directions. A/B tested solutions that improved task efficiency by 40% and gave the business a grounded path to expand the product line.

2022-2023

Anand Patel Architects

Interior Designer

Designing physical spaces where every decision, flow, structure, function directly shaped how people experienced a space.

  • Managed client relationships, translated briefs into 3D concepts, and reduced approval cycles by 50% through clear documentation and stakeholder communication.
